Congratulations to Dr. Michael Jackson, chair of Liberal Studies, for successfully defending his dissertation, “The Common Ground: Case Studies and Portraits of African American Male Mentors and High Performing Mentees at an HBCU.”

He earned his Ph.D. on May 4, 2014 from the College of Education and Human Ecology with honors at The Ohio State University. Dr. Jackson was also recognized at the university’s 22nd Annual Afrikan American Farewell Celebration on May 3. The event was for African or African-American students who graduate from The Ohio State University in 2013-2014 academic year.
