Falcons Topple Chowan To Remain Unbeaten In CIAA
After winning two low scoring games Saturday, Saint Augustine’s University downed Chowan University 10-7 in a high-scoring baseball affair to sweep the three-game weekend series at Hawkins Field on Sunday, March 10, 2013.
The Falcons left Hawkins Field with a 14-8 overall mark including a spotless 6-0 record in the CIAA. The third matchup between the two CIAA schools was much different than the previous two games on Saturday which turned into pitching duels. On Sunday, the bats came alive as both teams each collected 11 hits.
